Artificial Solutions Partners with ConnVRse to Deliver True Conversational Experience to Virtual Reality Applications
Artificial Solutions™, the natural language interaction (NLI) specialist that enables users to have a meaningful, humanlike interaction with technology, announced today a new partnership with ConnVRse (www.connvrse.com), the leading interactive mixed reality solutions provider based in Auckland, New Zealand.
The partnership will take advantage of the growing interest in virtual and mixed reality applications in a market tipped to be worth around NZ$205 billion globally in the next five years. Already the last few months has seen several high profile projects supported by the New Zealand government including a unique augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) development facility in Auckland.
“One of the major limitations we see in VR is a lack of user interaction,” says Kevin Morrissey, Founding Partner of ConnVRse. “While some progress is being made in areas of the technology such as gaze tracking, current environments are without conversation or effective interaction. The user isn’t driving the VR experience, but is simply a passenger along for the ride. This New Partnership will allow us to leverage our teams established experience with Artificial Solutions technology into VR/AR environments, enabling us to change the landscape.”
Teneo enables developers to rapidly build a highly intelligent, conversational aspect to their virtual reality applications in 35 languages. Award-winning, patented technology allows for conversations to be guided by a script, or totally free flowing depending on the type of application and its goal. Key aspects of the conversation can be remembered to be used later on to increase personalisation.
In addition to providing everything an enterprise might need to develop artificially intelligent natural language applications from a single platform, Teneo also includes a deep conversational analytics package. This provides the backbone to deliver true machine learning and implicit personalization that enables greater understanding about an individual, their likes and preferences, through interaction.
“Virtual reality is supposed to be about immersing yourself into another world, but without a free flowing conversation it will always be limited in its application,” says Andy Peart CMSO of Artificial Solutions. “Whether that’s walking around a virtual car salesroom or deep inside a game is immaterial, Teneo allows developers to easily include the humanlike conversational interaction that consumers are starting to demand. We’re delighted to be partnering with ConnVRse to help them take our technology to the VR market.”
