We Speak Your Language

Discover how customer needs are evolving and how intelligent virtual agents can enable enterprises to meet customer service demands now and in the future.

Language has so many subtle nuances it’s no wonder that some companies employ an army of computational linguistics just to deliver a single conversational interface that speaks one language. For the average enterprise focused on increasing business across the globe and achieving a fast return on investment, this resource heavy approach to development isn’t an option. To compete they need a different linguistic path.

Ever since Artificial Solutions first started, we’ve been deploying multi-lingual natural language solutions. During that time we’ve built up a unique corpus of data in multiple languages based on over a billion man-machine conversations, and used it to build our Teneo Language Resources.

Think of the Teneo Language Resources as a vast library of connected pre-built natural language understanding (NLU) blocks available in 35 languages. Built using machine learning combined with the expertise and collective brain power of one of the largest concentrations of computational linguists anywhere, the Teneo Language Resources cover virtually every conceivable way of expressing language and terminology.

We’ve charted out the relationship between words, phrases, sentences, synonyms, lexical entities, concepts – indeed we’ve mapped the very structure of language itself. And it is this incredible resource that is fundamental to enabling users to rapidly build NLI applications.

If you wanted to see what a Teneo Language Resource actually looks like as a graphical interpreting the image at the top of the page shows one of our Teneo Language Resource with the relations between words, phrases, synonyms and more.

Automatically understand a question, no matter how it’s phrased

One of the major draw-backs of using machine learning to build natural language applications from scratch, is the colossal amount of data that is needed to train the system. This is essential for the application to understand the different ways a human may make the request.

With Teneo Language Resources, we’ve done the hard work for you. A Teneo developer needs only to add a handful of representative queries – select the ‘Learn NLU’ feature and Teneo will use the Teneo Language Resources to automatically understand all of the different ways a user might ask the same question.

Our mapped data allows developers to build the initial phase in the language of their choice—in effect Teneo ‘thinks’ in your native language—and then allows for new language support to be added rapidly for global deployment.

Reuse the initial UI and add new languages easily

For many enterprises taking a conversational application developed in one country to be used in another means starting again from scratch. At Artificial Solutions we’ve always believed in the ethos of build once, deploy multiple times. In a multi-lingual situation our customers rely on the Teneo Language Resources to help them reuse approximately 80% of the original build.

Our technology allows enterprises to share the core knowledge across all deployments whilst retaining the ability to adapt local implementations for different business processes. In addition it enables distributed workgroups to work seamlessly with features such as multi-user capabilities, the ability to check-in/check-out language flows, automated testing, roll-back capabilities, multi-hosting and many more.

The Teneo Language Resources are fundamental in Artificial Solutions’ linguistic learning approach. The powerful network of NLU building-blocks enable multi-lingual applications to be built, deployed and maintained by non-specialists using less resources and in faster timescales than our competitors. Enabling you to benefit and learn from the vast data intelligence that conversational UIs deliver within weeks, not months.
