Chief Executive Officer
Lawrence Flynn has more than 20 years’ experience within the IT industry having worked in a number of sectors including ERP, Supply Chain and Web Content Management. He has considerable experience of managing international organizations, a focus of his career since 1993.
Lawrence has been in General Management and CEO roles since 1996 and has a strong track record of successfully working with innovative and sales-driven organizations to ensure growth and sustained profitability. In his last role he took over as CEO at Mediasurface in 2002, floated the company on the London Stock Exchange in 2004 and sold it to Alterian having grown revenues fivefold.
Lawrence joined Artificial Solutions in May 2010 to step in as CEO, replacing co-founder and board director Johan Åhlund.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Chris has spent almost his entire career in the IT industry. He brings a wealth of business and finance experience having held a variety of roles including VP Finance and more recently General Management.
He has extensive experience of working in International environments and particularly in Europe Middle East and Africa where he has managed finances and organizations in all of the major economies. As VP Finance Europe at Marcam, an International ERP vendor, he helped the Company grow from a start up to $25m t/o and eventual acquisition by Invensys. Later as Regional CEO at Systems Union he was part of the team that grew revenue to £40m in Europe and again prepared the Group for disposal.
His knowledge of the International Information Technology Market and the Finance and Business needs of those organizations mean he is ideally suited to support the growth of the Artificial Solutions.
Chris joined Artificial Solutions in January 2011.
VP Channel Sales & Alliances
Michel van Dorp brings to Artificial Solutions more than 20 years’ experience in international professional services, business development and sales. Before joining the company, Michel held senior global sales and business development positions at Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories and senior professional services management positions at Progress Software Europe B.V.
Michel joined Artificial Solutions in November 2009, and led the professional services and operations team for two years. Since November 2011 he is responsible for building strategic partnerships and alliances and all indirect sales globally.
Vice President of Sales
Ger runs Artificial Solutions’ sales and commercial operations. He has more than 20 years’ experience in software sales and in building and managing successful international commercial operations.
Before joining Artificial Solutions, Ger served as Managing Director Continental Europe for SaaS-based integrated marketing group Alterian. Before this, he held senior sales and general management roles with other software companies including Mediasurface and SAP.
Ger, who lives with his family in the Netherlands, joined the senior management team of Artificial Solutions as VP Sales in 2010 to drive new business growth and strengthen customer relations.
Chief Marketing Officer
Andy runs all marketing activities within Artificial Solutions. He achieved a first class honors degree from Loughborough University and has amassed over 25 years’ experience in running marketing operations for sector-leading software and services companies in the UK, Europe and US.
Andy established his marketing career with engineering software specialist PAFEC and went on to hold executive marketing management roles at software companies such as ACT, Kalamazoo and Magic Software. He was CMO at London Stock Exchange-listed Mediasurface, where he was part of the executive management team that led various successful acquisitions and the subsequent sale of the company to Alterian, where he went on to oversee marketing operations as VP Marketing.
Andy, who lives with his family in the UK, joined the senior management team of Artificial Solutions as Chief Marketing Officer in 2010 with the brief to deliver effective marketing programs to help accelerate the growth of the business.
Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
Andreas leads Artificial Solutions’ product strategy, design and development for the company’s next generation natural language interaction platform.
Andreas is responsible for Artificial Solutions’ technology vision and product strategy, for product design and development, for quality assurance and documentation.
Under Andreas’s leadership, Artificial Solutions’ product portfolio has successfully grown to include a wide range of applications in areas such as language technology, voice automation, search technology, knowledge management, virtual avatars, email management, live-chat, SMS services, and analytics. All these developments are part of the company’s Teneo platform which enables Artificial Solutions to deliver multi-channel, self-service solutions and multi-channel, contact center solutions.
Andreas’s educational background is in engineering and he has been a key player in taking Artificial Solutions from a small start-up company to today’s international thought leader, thanks to his keen sense for market needs and technology solutions.
Chief Operating Officer
Peter’s early career with Xerox manufacturing led to direct involvement with advanced IT systems. He moved to Minerva Computer Systems and following a MBO spent 11 years at the head of Minerva International Holdings – a major ERP distribution business which grew to £25m revenue, 250 staff and 7 operating companies in Europe.
He became European Region Director for TRW Systems – a large system integrator for tier 1 multi-nationals and public sector – until it was acquired by Northrop Grumman.
At Planit Holdings – a provider of CAD/CAM solutions to global manufacturing companies – he was Managing Director of a subsidiary business and had group Board responsibilities for Business Development, Marketing, Channels, Distribution and Subsidiaries.
Peter has worked for over 20 years in the European IT industry and after joining Artificial Solutions in February 2011 is energised to assist all areas of the business to deliver success from the huge potential that resides with our people and technology. He is responsible for all post-sales activities including Customer Implementations, Professional Services, Support & Maintenance, Hosting & IT, Education & Training, Best Practices and a range of supporting projects. In addition there is significant input from him towards our Product Development and Sales functions plus Legal & Commercial support for the entire business.
