Chief Executive Officer
Lawrence Flynn has more than 20 years’ experience within the IT industry having worked in a number of sectors including ERP, Supply Chain and Web Content Management. He has considerable experience of managing international organizations, a focus of his career since 1993.
Lawrence has been in General Management and CEO roles since 1996 and has a strong track record of successfully working with innovative and sales-driven organizations to ensure growth and sustained profitability. In his last role he took over as CEO at Mediasurface in 2002, floated the company on the London Stock Exchange in 2004 and sold it to Alterian having grown revenues fivefold.
Lawrence joined Artificial Solutions in May 2010 to step in as CEO, replacing co-founder and board director Johan Åhlund.
Chief Financial Officer
Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Chris has spent almost his entire career in the IT industry. He brings a wealth of business and finance experience having held a variety of roles including VP Finance and more recently General Management.
He has extensive experience of working in International environments and particularly in Europe Middle East and Africa where he has managed finances and organizations in all of the major economies. As VP Finance Europe at Marcam, an International ERP vendor, he helped the Company grow from a start up to $25m t/o and eventual acquisition by Invensys. Later as Regional CEO at Systems Union he was part of the team that grew revenue to £40m in Europe and again prepared the Group for disposal.
His knowledge of the International Information Technology Market and the Finance and Business needs of those organizations mean he is ideally suited to support the growth of the Artificial Solutions.
Chris joined Artificial Solutions in January 2011.
Chief Marketing Officer
Andy runs all marketing activities within Artificial Solutions. He achieved a first class honors degree from Loughborough University and has amassed over 25 years’ experience in running marketing operations for sector-leading software and services companies in the UK, Europe and US.
Andy established his marketing career with engineering software specialist PAFEC and went on to hold executive marketing management roles at software companies such as ACT, Kalamazoo and Magic Software. He was CMO at London Stock Exchange-listed Mediasurface, where he was part of the executive management team that led various successful acquisitions and the subsequent sale of the company to Alterian, where he went on to oversee marketing operations as VP Marketing.
Andy, who lives with his family in the UK, joined the senior management team of Artificial Solutions as Chief Marketing Officer in 2010 with the brief to deliver effective marketing programs to help accelerate the growth of the business.
Chief Technical Officer
Andreas leads Artificial Solutions’ product strategy, design and development for the company’s next generation natural language interaction platform.
Andreas is responsible for Artificial Solutions’ technology vision and product strategy, for product design and development, for quality assurance and documentation.
Under Andreas’s leadership, Artificial Solutions’ product portfolio has successfully grown to include a wide range of applications in areas such as language technology, voice automation, search technology, knowledge management, virtual avatars, email management, live-chat, SMS services, and analytics. All these developments are part of the company’s Teneo platform which enables Artificial Solutions to deliver multi-channel, self-service solutions and multi-channel, contact center solutions.
Andreas’s educational background is in engineering and he has been a key player in taking Artificial Solutions from a small start-up company to today’s international thought leader, thanks to his keen sense for market needs and technology solutions.
Chief Operating Officer
Peter has successfully worked in senior leadership roles within the European IT industry for 25 years, ranging from an ERP software and professional services business, a tier 1 System Integrator and a public company providing CAD/CAM solutions to global manufacturing.
As Chief Operating Officer at Artificial Solutions he is responsible for all post-sales functions including Customer implementations, Professional Services, Support & Maintenance, Hosting & IT, Education & Training, Best Practices plus Legal and Commercial support for the entire business.
Peter believes the Teneo platform will transform customer businesses through the use of Natural Language technology, where our flexible and adaptive approach to optimise such deployments is central to achieving significantly valuable outcomes through long-term customer partnerships.
VP Strategic Sales
Dave Parsin has over 25 years of software industry experience predominantly with disruptive technologies and in emerging markets. He has worked across all customer-facing organizations, including senior roles in sales, marketing and international business development at Oracle, Agile Software, Sun Microsystems, and Mitek Systems. In addition, Dave was a co-founder of two businesses: STG, a marketing services provider to the eBay marketplace (2003-2005), and givezooks!, a social commerce platform (2008-2011) that was sold to Salsa Labs in 2014.
Dave joined Artificial Solutions in 2013 to run their North American operations (based in SF Bay Area). He holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University, an MBA from Harvard University, and was a member of the 1987 & 1988 NCAA Baseball National Champions at Stanford. He’s also been a long-time triathlon coach (in his spare time) for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program.
